Bush to Beach: Serengeti & Zanzibar

  • Welcome to Tanzania! Your Driver guide from Laitolya Tours & Safaris Ltd will meet you upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport and take you straight to Gran Melia Hotel in Arusha.

    This trip is an exclusive private safari so that you can enjoy your trip to the fullest! Tomorrow morning will be an early start for your first Tanzania safari experience, so use your first day to recuperate from a day of travel and soak up the sights and sounds of Africa.

  • Today you depart after breakfast to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. The hilly landscape, with grand Baobab trees against the blue sky, is breathtaking. Witness the world’s largest concentration of elephants (Tembo in Swahili). Herds of up to 300 thousands elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking water or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around these swamps, you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons. Lunch at the park.

    During Evening your Driver Guide will take you to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Kitela lodge.

  • Today you will continue your African safari experience to one of the country’s biggest draws: the Serengeti National Park. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife that call the Serengeti home are unsurpassed. The wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest (Nyumbu in Swahili) is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti.

    In the morning you will be picked from the lodge after breakfast with packed lunch and transferred to Serengeti with game drive enroute.

    Dinner and Overnight on a full board basis (Bed, breakfast, Lunch and dinner) at Lemala Nanyukie Lodge.

  • Today you will have a full day game drive in the plains of the mighty Serengeti ( Seringit in Maasai language). Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.

    On this day you have the option of doing a balloon safari as an add-on in the early morning where you can watch wildlife from another perspective! Enjoy lunch at the park.

  • Early morning drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road leads you over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest, to the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephant s, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino.

    This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five (Lion, buffalo, Elephant, rhino and Leopard). The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.

    In the evening you will be transfered to Ziwani Lodge for dinner, overnight and relaxation.

  • Today you will wake up to the beautiful view of Lake Eyasi. The area is a dry and rugged land scape inhabited by the Hadzabe tribe (Bushmen) who live in nomadic groups and Datoga tribe (blacksmiths) . After breakfast your driver guide will take you to a hazabe village where you can hunt and gather with the Hadzabe tribe, afterwards you will visit the blacksmiths Datoga tribe.

    Depending on flight, in the afternoon you will stop over at Mto wa mbu for lunch as well as shopping. Drive to the airport for departure to Zanzi

  • Here you can unwind and enjoy laid-back beach life on the tropical spice island of Zanzibar famously known as Kisiwa cha Karafu which translate to clove island. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches dotted with palm trees, surrounded by the clear azure water of the Indian Ocean. This day is at leisure with no activities planned. You can explore the amazing coral reefs and swim among tropical reef fish. The beautiful beaches offer plenty of opportunities for surfers, snorkelers, divers and sunbathers.

  • Today you will have time to explore the magnificent and multicultural old town (in Swahili Mji Mkogwe), with of mix beautiful architecture and history. You will visit different places like House of Wonders the first largest building to be built in Zanzibar in 1883 by the Sultan Barghash bin Said al-Busaidi, and was the first house to have an elevator in East Africa, also The Old Fort and Ngome Kongwe oldest historical buildings in Zanzibar, where the construction materials of these houses consisted of a combination of coral rag, Stones, Concrete slabs, Mangrove shoots and steel beams.

    Lateron you will visit Zanzibar spice plantation and you will see and learn how cinnamons, peppers, nutmegs, cloves and vanilla are grown and get to try some too. You will also get to learn how spices are used in local dishes and medicine. in the afternoon you will enjoy a local Zanzibar spice lunch.

  • Enjoy the day t leisure with no activities planned. You can explore the amazing beach, coral reefs and swim or dive among tropical reef fish.

    The beautiful beaches offer plenty of opportunities for surfers, snorkelers, divers and sunbathers. Dinner and overnight at Melia Zanzibar.

  • Today depending on your flight departure time you will say Goodbye (kwaheri in swahili) to the warm sky of Zanzibar, your driver will transfer you to Zanzibar international Airport to catch your flight back home.
